PCT Marginal Costs Dispute

I spoke to Barbara this afternoon and she told me that
she and John have this matter in hand. The Nelson have done some calculations
and are asking for a refund of about £75k on what they are currently paying to
the Trust. Barbara thinks that the
Trust may have to negotiate to repay an amount around this figure which she
doesn't see as being unreasonable. Her
view on the Croydon issue is that we may have to repay a small amount there, but
she doesn't think that this will be significant as the discussions with the
Nelson are being held on a confidential basis.
The only comment I would make on this issue is that whatever refunds we
give to purchasers increases our in year CRP target and reinforces my view that
if you increase costs without being able to properly justify them you do take a risk of being challenged over
them.
