Subject: Outpatient Waiting List Figures
Dear Sir Nigel
Please find
enclosed an e-mail exchange that took place between myself and John
Parkes regarding the reporting of outpatient waiting list figures at the
beginning of 2001. You, the South West London Strategic Health
Authority and the London Directorate of Health and Social Care have all
refused to conduct an investigation in to the misreporting of waiting list
type information at St George's Healthcare, but I am sending this e-mail to
you, which I have recently discovered, as I believe it provides further
evidence that waiting list figures were being manipulated with the
agreement of officials at the London Region.
In the light of
this further evidence I again call you to set up an independent
investigation in to what happened at St George's and for you to arrange for
the suspension of John Parkes from the NHS until that investigation is
complete.
