I couldn't agree with you more. I am not prepared to knock my pan in for the
Trust , take on additional work, only to find that I am no better thought off at
the end of the day. Further we both have our health to think of. Howard Freeman
has just had a heart attack at 43 . We have to start being real about our
personal time. The other evening I took out my stress on David-which is daft but
reflects the pressure we are working under.
Andrew smiles at the support-but he is the one picking up the honours.
I , like you want to make clear to Liz that the success here has been a joint
effort, and I would be happy to serve under you as Chief Exec. Likewise I would
want to hear a commitment that both of us would be serious contenders for the
post. Another option is that we both act as joint acting Chief Exec.
I cover a lot of meetings, many in the evening for Andrew, and I am not a penny
better off, as I am still paid the same as before, but Andrew gets the benefit
of senior input in evenings to all CHC and PCG meetings.
Carolyn will confirm our meeting with Liz-Wed Am looks possible-AD is at NICE!!
