You may recall that at the
last full Board meeting I asked non-executive directors if they would like to
discuss the financial position of the Trust in more detail than is possible at
Board meetings. As David Knowles
had left before the meeting had concluded, it was suggested that in the first
instance I should get a date from David as to when he would be available to come
to such a discussion. David has now
let me know that he would be available on Monday 21st January between 3 and 5 PM
and I am e-mailing you all to ask if you can also make that date.
If any non-executives cannot make that time I would be quite happy to
arrange a separate meeting to take through the detail of the finances at another
convenient time.
I will e-mail you all again in
early January to let you have details of the agenda that I intend to follow and
which will include a couple of short presentations from senior staff in the
finance and information directorates. If
there are any particular issues that you want covered please let me know.
